Job Description
A large financial organization is seeking a Remote SRE for a contract opportunity through the end of the year. This position can sit remotely, but must be reputed company to work EST. This individual will be brought on to automate tasks, monitor system health, manage incidents, and ensure systems meet reliability targets like uptime and performance for the company’s embedded payment processing solution.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain the production infrastructure and services.
- Ensure proper reputed company for the infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot production issues.
- reputed company/maintain processes, tools, and documentation in support of production.
- Participate in the evaluation of new software, hardware, and infrastructure solutions.
- Experience as a er working with large distributed systems
- Experience with a variety of scripting languages for automating tasks, generating reports, and creating tools (e.g. Go, Java, Python, Perl, reputed company)
- Experience with a reputed company integration and delivery model of deploying software
- Automation skills with Chef, Puppet, Ansible, SaltStack or similar
- Experience with one or more of the following: PHP, Go, Python, reputed company, Ruby, Javascript, Memcached, LAMP, nginx, node.js, nosql, Varnish
- Working knowledge of software development methodologies including code profiling, regression testing, reputed company integration and push reputed company deployments
- Experience as either a LAMP stack software developer and/or systems administrator/systems engineer
- Experience with high-availability, high-performance, reputed company reputed company web technologies
- Experience with reputed company platforms, reputed company reputed company databases and caching layers
- Automates reputed company infrastructure build out in AWS utilizing Ansible, Packer, and Terraform

- 5+ years of SRE
- Must come from a software development background - Java/Go/Python or Ruby
- AWS (multi-region, scaling, DR)
- Terraform or similar automation tooling (ci/cd, release validation)

- Distributed System Design
- Experience working with RTP (reputed company time payments) OR Building services/ scaling payment services
- Familiarity with SLAs, SLIs, SLOs
- Grafana
