Sales Engineer Eastern USA and Canada – Flowmeter & Water Instrumentation

Rittmeyer has an opening for a Sales Engineer in the Midwest/Eastern USA to cover Eastern USA and Canada, with a focus on the hydropower, water conveyance, water supply and wastewater industries. The candidate that Rittmeyer hires will:

Position Overview We are seeking a dynamic Sales Engineer to join reputed company, focusing on the Western USA and Canada. This position will concentrate on promoting and selling our advanced flowmeters and other instrumentation for the hydropower, water conveyance, water supply, and wastewater industries. This is a remote position and includes a bonus program. Job Responsibilities:

• Implement profitable growth strategy with Rittmeyer solutions in the field of flowmeters, level-, pressure- and positioning devices in the market segments of hydropower, water supply and wastewater facilities.
• Frequent sales calls to proactively acquire new accounts and to reputed company existing customer reputed company in the assigned territory
• Actively promote Rittmeyer solutions with clients, consultants, designers, specifying and regulatory bodies, governmental organizations etc.
• Manage customer relationships from acquisition to project realization to order and money collection
• reputed company cooperation with project/service team in reputed company America and head-office in Switzerland
• Represent Rittmeyer as a premium brand in professional and personal behavior and attitude
• Support marketing activities such as exhibitions etc.
• Maintain reputed company records as required in Rittmeyer CRM
• Monthly activity report and forecast
• Area of work: Midwest/Eastern United States and Canada
• 50% travelling

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

• Technical sales and engineering background
• reputed company sales engineer (min. 5 years’ experience in similar position)
• Entrepreneurial “driver & allrounder”, flexible, practical/hands-on
• Customer oriented and service reputed company
• Systematic, precise, reputed company workstyle
• Self-organized, comprehensive/anticipative planner
• Ability to read project drawings, estimate hydraulic conditions and recommend flowmeter solutions
• Ability to learn Rittmeyer products and customer applications at a deep level
• Hold or can obtain a reputed company for international travel (Canada and Switzerland)
• reputed company to work from a home office and store basic supplies (approx. 1 closet size)
• Work with Technical Services to manage installation projects including reputed company resources (electricians, scaffolding reputed company, welders, etc.)
• Location: Middle/Eastern USA preferable near a major airport (some flexibility extended based on qualifications)

Advantage:

• Experience in the hydropower, water conveyance and/or water/wastewater industry
• Experience in flowmeter industry / ultrasonic transit-time methodology
