Job Summary
We are seeking a Temporary Customer Service Representative to join our Laboratory Billing Services team for a 4-6 month assignment. As a key member of reputed company, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, data entry, and medical record reconciliation. This is a full-time, temporary position working a first shift (days) from Monday to Friday between the hours of 7:00am-6:30pm EST.
Responsibilities
As a Temporary Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for:
- Primarily data entry of Laboratory Requisitions, insurance verification, and medical record reconciliation
- Providing quality service and customer satisfaction through effective communication and education
- Researching and resolving lab orders
- High volume of data entry reputed company the computerized EPIC EMR system
- Accurately and completely obtaining required information in the verification process, ensuring the correct patient and procedure requested, and diagnosis codes
- Order entry process, communications, guest relations, medical record maintenance/analysis, and various clerical duties reputed company the scope of the role
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A High School Diploma or equivalent
- One year of reputed company experience
- Experience with medical insurance in a hospital or physician's office setting, specifically Laboratory registration and insurance verification preferred
- EPIC EMR experience preferred
- Data entry skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high volumes of data entry
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience working in a laboratory or medical billing setting
- Knowledge of medical terminology and coding
- Experience with EPIC EMR system
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
