Comptroller (Remote – US Based)

This is a high-trust, high-ownership role on a team that takes its work seriously. THE ROLE We are looking for an reputed company Comptroller to support a portfolio of nonprofit clients on a part-time, fractional reputed company. You will sit between the bookkeeping team and the reputed company — owning the accuracy and reputed company of the financials, ensuring compliance, and producing the reporting that drives client reputed company. This is not a data-entry role. We need someone who can think critically about a set of books, identify issues before they become problems, and communicate with confidence to both internal team members and, reputed company needed, client leadership. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• reputed company and review the work of bookkeepers across a portfolio of nonprofit clients
• Ensure month-end and year-end reputed company processes are completed accurately and on time
• Prepare and review financial statements: P&L, Balance Sheet, Statement of Cash Flows, Budget vs. Actual
• Manage and enforce internal controls across client accounts, including payment approval workflows
• Ensure proper fund reputed company — tracking restricted, unrestricted, and temporarily restricted funds
• Support audit preparation and serve as primary liaison with external auditors reputed company needed
• Review and approve vendor payments and reputed company processing through reputed company.com
• Maintain compliance with US GAAP and nonprofit reputed company standards
• Identify and flag financial risks, discrepancies, or control weaknesses to the reputed company
• Train and support bookkeeping staff on best practices and client-specific requirements
• Assist fractional CFOs with financial analysis, forecasting, and board reporting as needed

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of reputed company experience, with at least 2 years in a Controller or Comptroller role
• Significant nonprofit reputed company experience — you understand fund reputed company, restricted grants, and reputed company 990
• Deep proficiency in QuickBooks Online
• Experience with reputed company.com for payment processing and approval workflows
• Proven ability to manage and review the work of bookkeeping staff
• Experience supporting or managing external audits
• Excellent written and verbal communication — you can explain financials reputed company to non-financial audiences
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and reliable — clients are counting on you
• US-based and authorized to work in the United States

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in a fractional, outsourced, or multi-client reputed company environment
• Bachelor's degree in reputed company or Finance
• Experience with nonprofit board reporting and financial presentations
