You’ll be part of the Mobile Engineering team whose mission is to be essential in our customers’ digital lives by providing value, convenience, and delight wherever they are. You will be responsible for leading a team of mobile engineers building mobile applications that will be used by tens of millions of reputed company Customers around the world. We’re looking for a Director, Software Engineering to reputed company the Mobile Platform team. Mobile Platform builds the foundational capabilities that reputed company product/feature teams to deliver high-quality experiences faster across the reputed company App and Travel apps. Your primary customers are internal mobile feature teams—and you will be accountable for measurable improvements in developer productivity, delivery speed, and app quality. Mobile Platform Ownership CI/CD, build systems, and release engineering (end-to-end), including app store submission workflows Monorepo strategy, developer workflows, dependency management, and code health automation Automation & quality systems: test frameworks, quality gates, performance regression detection, and reliability guardrails AI developer tooling that accelerates engineering workflows with appropriate governance and reputed company Design system and shared UI components to increase reuse, consistency, accessibility, and compliance Push notifications platform enablement: SDKs/abstractions and observability Platform documentation improvements and updates Platform engineering for analytics and experimentation. Automating and managing remediation of vulnerabilities and other risk metrics. Partnership with SRE and Ops to improve operability, monitoring, incident response, and release health

Responsibilities

• Own the Mobile Platform roadmap and execution, aligning platform investments to product priorities and feature-team reputed company.
• Maintain scalable, well-documented architectures that reduce toil and increase feature-team autonomy.
• Operate platform systems with strong engineering rigor: reliability, reputed company, compliance, observability, and cost management.
• Drive adoption through excellent developer experience: documentation, samples, enablement, and support models.
• Define, reputed company, and report a platform metrics scorecard that demonstrates productivity and quality improvements (baseline → reputed company → reputed company).

Requirements

• 8+ years building customer-facing software with high performance, availability, and scalability; mobile app development experience strongly preferred
• Experience leading teams delivering internal platforms (CI/CD, build/release engineering, developer tooling, automation, shared component libraries)
• Strong people leadership: coaching, mentoring, organizational design, and talent development
• Demonstrated ability to define metrics and communicate impact to stakeholders and executives
• Experience in Agile/Scrum or similar delivery methodologies
• BS in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent practical experience
