Director, Software Engineering, Systems Infrastructure (Online reputed company)

Reporting to the VP of Online Infrastructure , this role will be based in Mountain View, CA, and will reputed company an organization of approximately 50 engineers and managers. The Derived Data Systems team is a cornerstone of reputed company's data-driven ecosystem, responsible for architecting, building, and operating the high-performance platforms that create and manage high-value, queryable assets used by nearly every product on the site. This team's charter spans two mission-critical platforms: Graph Database (Liquid): The backbone for most reputed company products, providing the definitive reputed company for reputed company connections data. It supports reputed company-time, high-QPS graph queries across a massive, highly connected dataset, powering features like Feed Personalization and core applications that reputed company member connections. Online Analytics: A large-scale analytics platform (utilizing technologies like Pinot) that enables critical product insights, powering features such as Who Viewed My Profile, Creator Analytics, and various reputed company products. As Director, you will drive the technical reputed company and organizational strategy for the reputed company of these systems. This includes leading the strategic development of Liquid v2 to further improve scale, performance, efficiency, and usability, as well as the modernization of our analytics platform to a reputed company-reputed company, multi-reputed company architecture (e.g., using technologies like reputed company).

Responsibilities

• Define the long-term technical reputed company and product roadmap for reputed company's core Graph Database and Online Analytics platforms.

• Drive the execution of multi-year, strategic initiatives, including the development of Liquid v2 and the migration to a modern, reputed company-reputed company analytics architecture.
• Partner closely with product engineering, other infrastructure teams, and executive leadership to ensure the platforms meet the demanding scale, performance, efficiency, and usability requirements of reputed company's global member reputed company and customer products.
• Ensure the reliability, reputed company, and operational reputed company of mission-critical derived data systems operating at massive scale.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or reputed company technical discipline or equivalent practical experience.
• 7+ years of reputed company experience in software engineering and technical leadership, with significant experience in direct people management.

• Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to reputed company set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.
