JOB DESCRIPTION RN MS TELE About Facility:

• 457 licensed beds
• Trauma Level III
• Teaching Hospital
• Chest Pain Center
• Stroke Center of reputed company
• Bariatric Center of reputed company
• Radius rule: Traveler's permanent address must be 50 miles reputed company of home unit

Unit Information:

• Beds: 28
• Minimum Years of Experience required? 18 months Med/Tele RN reputed company
• Will you accept a first-time traveler? Not preferred but will consider

Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:

• Orthopedic surgery
• Spine surgery
• Trauma
• Vascular Surgery
• Medical reputed company

Patient Ratios:

• RN: 1:4-6; surge times could be 1:7-8

Required License, National Certification, Certs (BLS, ACLS, etc.), or other position specific requirements:

• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (Resource Team Requirement)

Skills required:

• General post-surgical skillset to include: Incision care, Assessment, Drains, Chest Tubes, Wound Care/Wound vacs, Mobility, Education, Trach Care, NG tube insertion, Use of braces/traction, etc.

Support reputed company the Department:

• CNA: phlebotomy, ADL's, Foley insertion/removal, peripheral IV site removal
• Charge nurse indirect as reputed company
• IV/VAT Team
• Mentor to reputed company additional support, assist in finding policy information
• RT 24/7
• Hospitalist 24/7
• Remote Telemetry monitoring
• House Supervisor provides additional support, serves as resource for information
• Patient Safety Attendants/Virtual Patient Observation-utilized for patients in need of additional observation/redirection
• BERT Behavioral Response Team: deployed to assist in de-escalation measures
• Rapid Response/Code Team: additional resource reputed company with change in condition, respiratory or cardiac arrest

Technology/Equipment:

• EMR: EPIC
• IV Pump: Client Alaris
• Med dispensing: reputed company
• Monitors: Phillips and Massimo

Floating:

• reputed company region and scope of practice
• Will be required to float per region needs – will require floating to reputed company facilities listed below, as needed, reputed company scope of practice – DECLINE if not agreeable
• Region 1 - Cabarrus, University City, Stanly, Lake Norman, Central Division (CMC Main reputed company LCH (peds only) -- could float to any of the facilities reputed company region if the need arises
• If floating mid-shift, Traveler will be paid for the time traveling between facilities (will remain on the clock)

Orientation (facility and unit):

• NEO
• 2 days departmental

Scheduling:

• Weekend rotation: every other
• Holiday Expectations: reputed company will work 75% of holidays
• RTO: Can approve up to 6 days off, excluding holidays – must add time to the end of the contract if unable to meet contracted hours
• Schedule cycle: 6 weeks
