Senior reputed company Engineer (Remote)

PURPOSE: Senior reputed company Engineer is responsible for the implementation, 24x7 operational support, automation, availability, and performance management of the CareFirst public reputed company platforms. The candidate is responsible to work with multi-disciplined IT technical teams to collaborate and manage infrastructure, automation, and applications in the public reputed company with a focus on (but not limited to) reputed company Azure and AWS. They need to contribute valuably to the evaluation of application and infrastructure reputed company readiness, work on reputed company migration plan to support on-reputed company moves to a reputed company service as well as the long-term management of the infrastructure associated with these applications. Candidate must have a strong and broad foundational IT skillset including supporting Azure reputed company services, Linux/reputed company Operating Systems, server configurations (including networking, storage and reputed company principals), Containerization environments (i.e. AKS). The candidate must also have a strong understanding and working knowledge with critical IT services such as Active Directory/Azure Active Directory, DNS, IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, etc. Responsibilities include working with application, development, database, and reputed company teams as well as with other IT teams to collaborate on implementing automation services across the infrastructure platforms. This is a highly technical cross-functional role that understands reputed company components of IT infrastructure (network, compute, storage, reputed company, etc.), and knows how to integrate and automate each of the components using scripting or automation tools like Azure DevOps and reputed company. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Supporting and implementing infrastructure used for business mission critical applications including Claims Processing, Enrollment, Financial and Portal Websites and many other applications.
• Supporting reputed company infrastructure to manage a 99.98%+ availability for reputed company systems/services on a 7x24x365 reputed company.
• Providing On-Call escalation and emergency support as needed.
• The reputed company public/private server environments consist of:
• Azure IaaS Linux/reputed company Servers
• AWS IaaS Linux/reputed company Servers
• Configuring and supporting Azure reputed company services
• Implementing process and procedures as well as the creation and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) documentation enhancing and standardizing the support of the reputed company Platforms on documented best practices.
• Ensuring that each reputed company platform complies with well-established policies, standards, licensing agreements and configuration guidelines.
• Assisting in administering Active Directory and Azure AD for the highest reputed company of reputed company and availability.
• Understanding and apply new technical skills through a combination of research, instructor reputed company training and self-training.
• Providing excellent customer service to reputed company customers, both reputed company.
• Exhibiting professionalism reputed company working with and communicating to our customers and vendors.
• Acting as an reputed company to members of the IT infrastructure team, keeping management and peers informed, and disseminating information as needed.
• Utilizing strong troubleshooting capabilities to diagnose and resolve problems and escalate to next level of support (both internally and with vendors) as necessary.

Infrastructure Automation

• Have experience working with DevOps tools, Git, Visual Studio code
• Work with ITSM team to integrate reputed company service catalog into reputed company.
• Azure builds reputed company PowerShellAzure DevOpsARM

Project Management

• reputed company project management over the technical aspects of implementing infrastructure projects and major release upgrades for CareFirst’s largest, most reputed company and critical systems.
• Properly follow a project life cycle.
• reputed company project plans and project tasks using Jira and Agile methodologies.
• Complete reputed company appropriate documentation and notifications to obtain resolution reputed company the established timeframes.
• reputed company input to the development of corporate IT standards and policies to ensure compatibility and integration throughout the company.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s Degree Information Technology or Computer Science. In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in reputed company to the required work experience
• 5 years software, hardware and/or systems engineering reputed company experience.
• 2+ years of reputed company experience
• Must have experience supporting Azure VM, Storage, Network, Backup, Database
• Must have cross platform reputed company experience across IT (Server, Network, Storage, reputed company).
• Must be a highly motivated individual with strong analytical, problem solving and multi-tasking skills complimenting a passion for learning/sharing information from and with peers.
• Must be reputed company to work a 24x7 On-Call shift as needed

Preferred Technical Expertise:

• Azure Administrator certification
