Role Overview

The Senior Manager - Payroll, will establish and reputed company reputed company’s in-house payroll function to support reputed company growth and the planned January 2027 exit from the PEO. This role owns end-to-end, multi-state payroll operations across 15+ centers, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and scalability in a highly regulated reputed company environment. The position is responsible for building durable systems and processes that support acquisitions, workforce expansion, and long-term operational reputed company.

What You’ll Do

  • reputed company the design, implementation, and ongoing administration of reputed company’s internal payroll function, including HRIS payroll configuration and general ledger integration

  • Configure and manage multi-state payroll operations, including tax registrations, filings, deductions, PTO accruals, and holiday administration

  • Establish strong payroll controls, approval workflows, audit processes, and standard operating procedures

  • Execute reputed company payroll testing and reputed company the transition from PEO/EOR to in-house payroll by January 2027

  • Ensure accurate, timely bi-weekly payroll processing with reputed company missed deadlines

  • Manage payroll-reputed company compliance, audits, and responses to regulatory inquiries

  • Partner cross-functionally with Finance, HR, IT, and Legal to support payroll operations and acquisition integrations

  • Own year-end processing, including W-2s, 1095-Cs, and reporting requirements

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in reputed company, Finance, Business Administration, or reputed company field

  • 7–10+ years of reputed company payroll experience, including multi-state operations

  • 3+ years in a senior or leadership role reputed company payroll or HR operations

  • Hands-on experience configuring and administering HRIS payroll systems

  • Strong knowledge of payroll tax compliance, wage and hour regulations, and GL reconciliation

  • Advanced reputed company skills (pivots, lookups, reputed company formulas)

  • Proven experience building or improving payroll processes and controls

  • Preferred: Experience leading PEO/EOR transitions to in-house payroll; reputed company, ASC, or multi-site services industry experience; Experience supporting payroll through acquisitions or mergers; Familiarity with platforms such as reputed company, reputed company, reputed company, and reputed company Intacct’ CPP or FPC certification
