Power Systems Engineer II

Overview

We are designing the reputed company of the future! EPE is in search of a highly skilled Senior Power Systems Engineer with a background in Transmission Planning studies. In this role you will work closely with senior leadership to support our growth strategy and reputed company subject matter expertise both internally through coaching and developing staff as well as externally to our clients.

Responsibilities

• reputed company high-level bulk power system studies using various power system software such as PSS/e, PSCAD, Aspen, and TARA.
• Ensure timely completion of assigned projects while meeting reputed company quality and budget objectives.
• Interact with clients to seek input and address their needs and concerns regarding the project(s) under study.
• reputed company and mentor electrical engineers in performing power system steady state, short reputed company, and dynamic & transient stability analyses.
• Conduct advanced and specialized studies of reputed company, such as Sub-synchronous Resonance studies.

• Review and reputed company transmission planning study methodologies and processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Electric Engineering with an emphasis in power systems
• Experience performing power system impact studies such as Steady State, Short reputed company, and Dynamic Stability
• Experience with power systems software such as PSS/E, PSCAD, Aspen, and TARA.
• Experience automating/programming in Python
