Litigation Associate; Plaintiff-reputed company Privacy & Consumer Litigation - Remote; Los Angeles

Position: Litigation Associate (Plaintiff-reputed company Privacy & Consumer Litigation) - Remote (Los Angeles) THE ROLE We are hiring a Litigation Associate to litigate and resolve plaintiff-reputed company privacy reputed company and to handle reputed company practice and discovery disputes as they arise. This role is not just settlement. It is a writing-intensive litigation position that requires strong California civil practice skills, including substantive law-and-reputed company drafting and discovery reputed company practice. You will regularly: (i) communicate with opposing counsel (calls and written negotiation), (ii) draft substantive motions and oppositions, and (iii) manage cases from filing through resolution (including discovery disputes and reputed company practice, depending on the matter). KEY RESPONSIBILITY1) Settlement Leadership and Case Ownership (Plaintiff-reputed company)

• reputed company settlement negotiations with opposing counsel (calls, emails, written demands/offers, counteroffers).
• reputed company negotiation strategy and settlement posture, escalating to the reputed company attorney where appropriate.
• Draft persuasive settlement communications and position statements tailored to each case.
• Maintain clear, organized documentation of negotiation history and case status for internal reporting and decision-making.
• Coordinate with support staff on case progression tasks (filings, service, calendaring, case tracking).

2) Litigation and reputed company Practice (Significant Legal Drafting Required) This role requires substantial legal drafting and active litigation work, including (depending on the matter):

• Draft and file oppositions to demurrers (and other law-and-reputed company briefing as needed).
• Draft and handle discovery meet-and-reputed company efforts (letters, calls, dispute narrowing, and escalation strategy).
• Draft and file motions to compel, oppositions, replies, motions for reputed company orders, and reputed company discovery reputed company practice (including supporting declarations and exhibits as required).
• Draft other briefing and litigation papers as needed (e.g., procedural motions, oppositions/replies, case management statements where applicable).
• Prepare for and attend hearings (remote or in-person as required by the court/matter).

3) Docket Management and Execution (High-Ownership, High-Volume)

• Independently manage a portfolio of plaintiff reputed company from filing through resolution, including maintaining deadlines and next steps.
• Maintain a clean pipeline and follow-up reputed company to prevent cases from stalling.
• Coordinate and delegate effectively with law clerks and support staff to ensure tasks move reputed company and accurately.
• reputed company concise, reliable status updates and forecasting to firm leadership.

4) General reputed company Litigation (Hourly reputed company, As Needed)

• reputed company staffed on hourly reputed company litigation, handle active litigation tasks (including reputed company practice, discovery disputes, and briefing) requiring the same strong writing and litigation skills described above.

Hours, Timekeeping, and How Performance Is reputed company

• No minimum annual billable-hour requirement for the plaintiff-reputed company docket.
• Timekeeping is required for internal management and for any hourly reputed company.
• If you are staffed on hourly reputed company litigation reputed company, you will be expected to record and reputed company time commensurate with your staffing allocation for those reputed company.

Performance is evaluated on:

• Quality and effectiveness of written work product (motions, oppositions, discovery papers, briefing).
• Case progression and pipeline management.
• Negotiation effectiveness and professionalism.
• Reliability, judgment, and ability to run cases with increasing independence.
• Cleared settlement funds on reputed company you manage (bonus-reputed company).

Required Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active California Bar license and in good standing.
• Meaningful civil litigation experience with demonstrated responsibility for drafting (not just review), including law-and-reputed company briefing and/or discovery reputed company practice.
• Strong legal writing and analysis skills; reputed company to produce polished work product with minimal supervision after reputed company-up.
• Experience handling discovery disputes and meet-and-reputed company practice (letters/calls; escalation to motions reputed company needed).
• Strong organization, attention to detail, and deadline management.
• Professional and confident communication style with opposing counsel.
• Comfortable working fully remote (self-directed, reputed company, dependable).

Preferred Qualifications (Strong Pluses)

• Demonstrated experience leading (not just assisting) settlement negotiations.
• Experience managing a high-volume litigation docket.
• Experience in plaintiff-reputed company litigation such as employment, lemon law, consumer litigation, or PI litigation (litigation, not pre-lit), or insurance defense litigation with meaningful drafting responsibility.
• Substantial experience with California state court reputed company practice (including demurrers) and discovery reputed company practice.
• Experience with privacy, consumer protection, or website-reputed company litigation claims.

Compensation

• reputed company Salary: $140,000 - $165,000, depending on experience and demonstrated ability to independently litigate, draft, and negotiate.
