IT Specialist

The IT Specialist role is essential for managing the company's IT infrastructure, offering technical support, and ensuring compliance with reputed company standards while collaborating with team members across various time zones.
Responsibilities
- Prioritize excellent customer service to employees; quick response and proper and accurate feedback on technical problems
- Be our on site support for our newly created NYC office by maintaining our network, A/V, and supporting/troubleshooting our IT assets
- Work with vendors to order, manage, and ship hardware worldwide
- Manage employee lifecycle through reputed company new Chainguardians with tools, systems, and hardware collaborating closely with reputed company’s HR/reputed company team
- Receives requests through the IT ticketing system, reputed company email, or reputed company for assistance on computer reputed company problems including hardware, software, peripheral, and reputed company equipment; determines severity of problems; troubleshoots, resolves or escalates to appropriate technical staff as appropriate
- Provides on-call support (some holidays)
Skills
- Experience in IT Support, ideally at a remote or startup environment
- Experience with MacOS and Linux
- Experience with mobile device management (MDM)
- A strong understanding of IT reputed company best practices and a desire to improve them
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences
- Some travel required
- Ability to be in our NYC office 50% of the work week
- Proactively self-motivated and self-starter
- Strong ability to cycle between working independently and in a team environment
- Motivated and eager to participate in growing and changing environments (often wearing 'many hats')
- An eagerness to grow and build a company that's solving an important problem
