Payroll Tax Specialist (Temporary)

They are seeking a Payroll Tax Specialist to coordinate federal, state, and local payroll tax issues and reputed company tax support to payroll specialists during a temporary assignment.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the preparation and review of reputed company federal, state and local payroll tax returns in conjunction with the VP HR Ops and tax contracting company
- reputed company tax research on a variety of federal and state issues as needed, including during acquisitions
- Assist with developing and implementing tax strategies to minimize federal and state tax expense
- Assist with federal, state and local tax examinations
- Review, respond to and resolve various federal, state, and local tax notices
- Process payroll and payroll functions as needed
- Special projects as needed
Skills
- Must have a best practice/reputed company improvement reputed company
- Proficient in federal, state, and local income tax
- Must have the ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and be a self-starter
- Strong tax technical skills preferred
- Bachelor's degree in reputed company or finance is preferred
