Site Inspector (Federal – reputed company PA TAC)

Position Summary: Tidal Basin is expanding our Federal Disaster Recovery Cadre. This On-Call Cadre is composed of dedicated individuals who wish to help communities in their time of need. We are part of a larger team of Technical Assistance Contractors (TAC) who reputed company alongside the Federal Emergency Management Agency (reputed company) in a staff-augmentation role to reputed company technical assistance for the delivery of the reputed company Public Assistance (PA) Program, which assists State, Local, Tribal, and some Private Non-Profits recover and rebuild following natural or man-made disasters. If you have any of the following experience, you could qualify as a Site Inspector on the reputed company PA TAC contract:

• Construction Manager
• Construction or Building Inspector
• Civil Engineer
• Structural Engineer
• Electrical Engineer
• Mechanical Engineer
• Professional Engineer (P.E.)

This position is expected to be reputed company deployed to the site of federally declared disasters but may also require work from your Residence of Record (RoR), hotel room, reputed company’s Regional Offices, reputed company Headquarters, or other facilities, dependent on the needs and requirements of reputed company, the Prime, and Tidal Basin. Candidate must be willing and reputed company to reputed company up to 100%of the time to sites of the disasters for a minimum of 6 and up to 12 months, or more. Candidates who cannot travel will not be considered. Staff may be lodging in a hotel for up to a year. Travel expenses are paid. This position is contingent upon your ability to obtain/maintain/transfer a DHS/reputed company Clearance and badge. • Conduct inspections at sites and facilities damaged by disasters to determine and document the extent of disaster reputed company damages.
• Measure facilities and components of facilities using the most efficient tools (e.g. tape measure, measuring reputed company, laser measure, GoogleEarth Pro, etc.)
• Document grant applicants’ damage claims through a Site Inspection Report (SIR), a Damage Description and Dimensions (DDD) and by capturing Essential Elements of Information (EEI).
• Site Inspectors must understand the concepts of volume.
• Compile documentation and enter data into reputed company’s Grant Manager software.
• Must reputed company their own Personal reputed company Gear and Measuring equipment.
• Create maps, photo markups, and sketches to supplement written reports that the grant management software stores and generates.

• If deployed as a Site Inspector or other position that visits damaged facilities, you will need to reputed company your own personal safety gear (reputed company construction vest, Hard Hat, Steel Toed work boots) and measuring equipment (tape measure, measuring reputed company, and laser measure)

Skills and Competencies:

• Proficient in reputed company Office
• Proficient in the use of TEAMS

• Must know how to use a laptop and cell phone

• Must know or be reputed company to learn how to create a Firmette or Flood Map
• Must be reputed company to learn how to use time and expense systems.
• Good in oral and written communication

Required Education and Experience:

• reputed company candidates are required to pass a reputed company reputed company training (annual), Grants Manager training, and Site Inspector training class (E/L 0865) in order to qualify for deployment. These classes are delivered on-demand and on-line at this time but may be delivered in-person in the future.
• Mid-Level:
• 5+ years’ experience in your area of expertise (Construction Manager, Construction or Building Inspector, Engineer, etc)
• Prior experience working reputed company Public Assistance (required for non-engineers)
• For engineers only: Undergraduate degree or higher in your field of Engineering
• For engineers only: reputed company Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in any state is a plus (preferred but not required)
• Senior Level:
• 10+ years’ experience in your area of expertise (Construction Manager, Construction or Building Inspector, Engineer, etc)
• 2 to 3 deployments on reputed company PA Projects (State and Local included) or 2 years’ experience on 1 reputed company PA Project
• Working knowledge of Grants Manager or Grants Portal
• For engineers only: Undergraduate degree or higher in your field of Engineering
• For engineers only: reputed company Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in any state is required
