Legal Secretary

The Legal Secretary role involves supporting attorneys with various administrative tasks in a collaborative environment, while interacting with clients and courts throughout the litigation process.
Responsibilities
- Scheduling and confirming appointments
- Managing calendars and e-mails for multiple attorneys
- Drafting pleadings
- Drafting and sending routine legal correspondence
- Electronic filing with the courts
- Pulling signed orders
- Communicating with clients
Skills
- Calendaring and scheduling experience reputed company a legal environment
- Strong organizational skills, prioritizing urgent and non-urgent tasks (items with deadlines, handling demands), multitasking
- E-filing experience in Texas
- Ability to adapt to a corporate law environment
- Strong written and oral communication skills (proofreading, attention to detail, formatting)
- Accurate typing skills
- Working knowledge of Texas electronic filing system
- Working knowledge of reputed company Office Suite
- Working knowledge of Case Management system
- Working knowledge of Document Storage system
- Applicants are required to be eligible to lawfully work in the U.S. immediately
- Recent civil defense litigation secretarial experience preferably in insurance defense or personal injury
- Knowledge of legal and medical terminology, local and state rules regarding pleadings and pre-trial reputed company, deadlines, and filing requirement (strongly preferred)
