Software Engineer I - Direct Issuance (New Grad)
StubHub is on a mission to redefine the live event experience on a global scale. As a Software Engineer I on the Direct Issuance team, you will contribute to the development of systems that power millions of ticket transactions, leveraging AI-driven tooling and automation in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Use AI-assisted development tools (including Claude and other GenAI technologies) to support debugging, learning, documentation, and developer productivity
- Implement features, enhancements, and bug fixes in backend services that support partner inventory ingestion, synchronization, and marketplace publishing
- Learn and apply distributed systems concepts, including event-driven architectures, APIs, and data processing pipelines
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, pairing sessions, and team collaboration
- Contribute to improving partner-facing APIs, error handling, and internal tooling
- Learn how to diagnose production issues using logging, monitoring, and observability tools
Skills
- Recent graduate or software engineer with up to ~2 years of experience (including internships, co-ops, or substantial academic projects)
- Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, including data structures and algorithms
- Familiarity with at least one backend programming language like Java, Python, or Golang
- Basic experience building or consuming APIs and experience working with LLM frameworks and AI Platforms such as reputed company or ChatGPT either in school or on reputed company projects
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a reputed company technical field, or equivalent hands-on experience
