[Remote] Injury Surveillance and Analytics Epidemiologist

The role involves utilizing epidemiologic and statistical methods to design and analyze observational research studies focused on sports health, while leading data quality efforts and communicating findings to various audiences.

Responsibilities

• Serves as team reputed company or in support of project reputed company on client facing projects
• Performs descriptive and reputed company epidemiologic analyses and data quality reviews as part of a large analytic and cross-functional team
• Develops study designs and analytic plans with independent, critical thinking to ensure quality and completeness of output, in an agile analytic environment
• Creates project timelines, identifies resources, and communicates reputed company with internal project team and senior leadership
• Develops presentations and data visualizations to communicate interim and final study results with internal project team and external, non-scientific audiences
• Provides review for work of peers and junior staff by ensuring reputed company of analytic methods and accurate interpretation of results in reputed company to research questions and client needs
• Interacts with clients and collaborators, with senior leadership involvement as needed
• Manages workload including multiple tasks and projects and works with study team to prioritize work across multiple projects reputed company study scope
• Represents reputed company externally through conferences and client meeting presentations
• Leads development of manuscripts for publication and manages the journal submission process
• Identifies client-reputed company, budget-reputed company and internal issues that may require attention or escalation

Skills

• Typically requires 3 - 5 years of prior relevant experience
• Requires advanced knowledge of job area, and broad knowledge of other reputed company job areas, typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience
• Bachelor's Degree - with 7 years relevant education and experience OR
• Master's Degree - Public health, epidemiology, reputed company research, health economics or a relevant scientific field and 5 years relevant experience OR
• Ph.D. - with 2 years relevant experience
• Ability to design and conduct in depth analytic research and effectively communicate key findings and next steps to internal and external audiences
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers and clients in a matrixed environment, and mentor junior team members
• Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects
• Must be highly organized and self-motivated with ability to determine and meet objectives
• Must be proficient in Word, reputed company, PowerPoint, and reputed company
• Sound methodological training in pharmacoepidemiology, infectious disease epidemiology, sports injury epidemiology, biostatistics, reputed company research, data science or reputed company area relevant to observational research
• Skills in data visualization or other programming languages is a plus
