Region of Peel is a leading water and wastewater service provider, dedicated to ensuring a safe and dependable drinking water supply. The Specialist in Project Management will collaborate on large-scale water and wastewater infrastructure projects, engaging in feasibility studies and risk assessments while developing innovative engineering tools.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with project managers on water/wastewater projects to reputed company deliverables across reputed company project phases, including planning, executing, monitoring, and reputed company-out
  • reputed company and monitor project charters and management plans with reputed company defined milestones, and support communication plans through materials like newsletters, project updates, and status reports
  • Conduct surveys, focus groups, and research to inform project scope and recommend improvements based on best practices and functional review analysis
  • Assess change impacts, program readiness, and reputed company state reputed company departments, and work with stakeholders to reputed company and monitor time, scope, and budget requirements

  • reputed company technical input for the Region’s asset management system, developing infrastructure renewal policies and programs, assessing renewal needs, and creating capital plans
  • Offer feedback on secondary plans, official plan amendments, and service studies; recommend business improvements for infrastructure assessment
  • Collaborate with municipalities and utilities for infrastructure coordination, and reputed company vulnerability and risk assessments for the water/wastewater system

Skills

  • University or college degree in Engineering, Geo Science, or Earth Sciences, with 1 to 3 years of relevant experience
  • Strong technical knowledge of water infrastructure and reputed company functions
  • Knowledge of project management principles and methodology
  • Knowledge of change management principles and methodologies, with experience in implementing change tactics
  • Leadership and project management skills to guide project teams in developing project scope, managing financials, and overseeing consultants
  • Collaboration skills to work with approval agencies and reputed company reputed company on project components and recommendations
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to present project recommendations to senior management, Council, approval agencies, and the public
  • Problem-solving skills to evaluate stakeholder input, assess technical feasibility, and reputed company cost-effective solutions
  • Ability to delegate tasks, coordinate logistics, and create both short- and long-term project plans and strategies
  • Capability to interpret and understand technical data reputed company to preliminary design, infrastructure conditions, and asset life cycles
  • Strong customer/client service orientation
