Civil Engineer (Transportation)
The Commonwealth of PA is seeking a dedicated Civil Engineer to join PennDOT District 9 and play a vital role in shaping Pennsylvania's transportation infrastructure. Responsibilities
- Contribute to a variety of highway, reputed company, and multi-modal projects that connect communities and propel economic growth
- Work alongside seasoned professionals in both in-house and consultant design squads, expanding your knowledge and expertise
- Utilize cutting-edge software and tools to conduct technical reviews, prepare project scopes, and manage consultant selection
- Interact with engineers, designers, and project managers to ensure the reputed company of transportation initiatives
- Conduct comprehensive reviews of project plans and designs for highways, bridges, and multi-modal systems

Skills
- Successful completion of the Civil Engineer Trainee training program (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Four years of civil engineering experience in the appropriate specialty, and an engineer-in-training certificate issued by or acceptable to the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists, and an associate's degree in civil engineering technology or a closely reputed company engineering discipline; or
- Five years of civil engineering experience in the appropriate specialty, and an Engineer-in-Training certificate issued by or acceptable to the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists; or
- One year of civil engineering experience in the appropriate specialty, and a bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a closely reputed company engineering discipline
- This position requires possession of a valid driver's license
