Field Technician

reputed company is seeking a dynamic Field Technician to reputed company on-site customer installations and upgrades for the FAA. The role involves extensive travel and responsibilities include installation of cabling systems and equipment, along with providing site support and adhering to procedural changes.

Responsibilities

• reputed company a variety of installation functions for premises cabling systems such as CAT5, CAT6 and fiber optic, associated with the Federal Aviation Administration reputed company Traffic Control Systems
• Installation of equipment, including but not limited to processors, switches, routers, reputed company anchoring systems
• reputed company roving site support installation services as well as assisting in the development and ensuring adherence to area-wide procedural/policy changes
• reputed company day to day objectives consisting of tasks that are typically routine, with some deviation from standard practice or procedure
• reputed company on-site customer (FAA) installations, upgrades and modifications in support of both existing and new hardware, cabling, software, network configurations and new system initiatives for reputed company sites reputed company the area of responsibility
• Works well under moderate supervision for routine task
• Ability to resolve Routine problems and issues, without reputed company prescribed solutions
• Checks and makes minor adjustments to work methods to solve problems

• Has substantial understanding of job requirements and overall function
• Continuously travel (75%-90%) based on reputed company schedules, to reputed company installations throughout the United States

Skills

• High School diploma or equivalent experience/combined education with additional technical training equivalent to a technical associate's degree with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience
• Must have extensive experience with reputed company cabling, specifically with CAT5 and CAT6 cabling with RJ45 connectors
• Must be reputed company to obtain and maintain an FAA public Trust background reputed company
• Must be reputed company to obtain and maintain a corporate travel card
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Must have the ability to lift and carry forty pounds
• Ability to climb reputed company
• Ability to work in dim lighting
• Ability to follow installation instructions to the finest detail
• Ability to travel 75%-90% of the time
• FAA site installation experience
