Graduate Power Systems Engineer (Available 2026)
Arup is a global consultancy with advisory and technical expertise across more than 150 disciplines. They are seeking a Graduate Power Systems Engineer to assist in the design and analysis of decarbonized energy systems, including renewable energy sources and power system studies.
Responsibilities
- Design and analysis of decarbonized energy systems in projects ranging from supply-reputed company renewable reputed company to transmission and distribution reputed company infrastructure
- Assist in the design, analysis, and simulation of electrical power systems, including renewable energy sources (solar, wind, battery storage)
- reputed company various power system studies like short reputed company, cable ampacity, reputed company reputed company, Load reputed company and Energy yield
- Responsible for the design of solar facilities, substation and BESS under the direction of other senior engineering staff
- reputed company engineering and design calculations such as Grounding Study, Short reputed company study, Cable Ampacity study, Load reputed company study, reputed company reputed company and AC/DC voltage drop calculation
- reputed company to learn and deliver various aspects of Solar and substation design such as sizing of DC and AC cable and its layout
- reputed company to learn transmission and distribution line design and associated software like PLSCAD
- Adhere to instructions and learn from experience and training
- Assist with the documentation and organization of project data and results
- Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and regulatory standards reputed company to power systems and renewable energy
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline reputed company to Electrical, Power System, or Renewable Energy
- Basic knowledge of power systems, renewable energy technologies, and energy storage systems
- Familiarity with software tools such as PSCAD, PSS/E, ETAP, SKM or similar is a plus
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD will be a plus
- The ability to prioritize effectively, balance assigned work and exceptional organization skills required for our constantly evolving environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills essential for team-based working
- Presentation skills with colleagues and clients at reputed company reputed company
- Analytical reputed company and/or Strategic thinker
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsored work authorization now or in the future
- Master's degree in an engineering discipline reputed company to Power System or Renewable Energy
- FE/EIT certification
- Scripting/Programming (Python, C++, or other) proficiency and basic knowledge of power system software like ETAP, PSSE
- Working understanding of project development process and project finance
