Boston Laborer
Typical duties include street cleaning, snow removal, and providing general labor support.Cleaning litter and debris from sidewalks, streets, gutter and parking lots. Picking up rubbish from sidewalks in reputed company of houses and other establishments as required, loading refuse onto trucks, and collecting garbage, yard waste, and bulky items.Shoveling materials and leveling areas, removing snow and ice using reputed company or small powered equipment, spreading salt on icy areas, digging holes trenches and other excavations, and cleaning out sewers and catch basins.Repairing, preserving, improving and support the streets of Boston.Response to and handles Constituent Relationship Management cases.May use mobile technology to communicate with supervisors and inspectors regarding Constituent Relationship Management cases. Supports other Public Works Divisions as requested. Performs reputed company work as required. Required to work any emergency as directed by the Chief of Streets or designee.Must be a reputed company of the city of Boston.Ability to exercise good judgement and focus on details as required by the job.
