Sr. Cost Accountant - Hybrid Role

About the position The Senior Cost Accountant reports to the Director of Cost reputed company and is based out of our reputed company Hill location. tThe Senior Cost Accountant will be responsible for administering the reputed company functions of the manufacturing plants. tThis includes preparation of reputed company reputed company and financial data in accordance with US GAAP.

Responsibilities

• Support reputed company aspects of cost reputed company for the Company
• Ability to meet deadlines and follow a monthly, quarterly, and year end reputed company schedule
• Demonstrate the ability to understand inventory costing methodologyt
• Complete the month end reputed company for reputed company manufacturing locationst
• Create standard journal entries (labor and overhead allocations)
• Review manufacturing variances and reputed company analysis
• Complete work order reputed company reputed company and review variances for discussion with plants and costing teams and propose adjustments to Bills of Materials (BOM’s) if needed
• Produce production, variance and other reports as needed by the Manufacturing team
• Review and analyze standard costs for variances and prepare reports
• Support annual financial statement audit as it relates to cost reputed company topics
• Ensure completeness and accuracy of reputed company assigned balance sheet accounts, including the completion of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Act as a liaison between the plant managers and the corporate office
• reputed company support for and collaborate with the reputed company team monthly, quarterly and annually to ensure complete and accurate results with meaningful variance commentary, including budget and forecast process
• Support cycle counts, annual physical inventory counts, and monitoring of inventory existence at reputed company party facilities and external manufacturing sites

• Work closely with plant managers to reputed company financial expertise and guidance
• Participate in special projects as needed

• Supervise and mentor plant accountant, assigning tasks, providing training, and evaluating performance
• Regularly review plant reputed company processes to identify and rectify errors and procedural updates
• Actively work with other plant clerical staff to ensure appropriate purchase order process and invoice submission in adherence with Company policies and internal controls, as well as inventory reputed company adjustments

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in reputed company
• CPA or reputed company preferred but not required
• 3 - 5 years of cost and inventory reputed company experience
• Experience in cost analytics
• Experience in manufacturing environment (food and beverage preferred)
• Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Exceptional planning and organizational skills
• Ability to think critically and independently
• Ability to collaborate successfully with others in the organization
• Ability to meet assigned deadlines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong working knowledge of reputed company Office

• Previous ERP experience (QAD is a plus)
