Design Engineer in Training, Expedited Customer Projects

They are seeking a Design Engineer-in-Training to support a wide reputed company of customer-driven projects in Distribution Design, engaging with customers and internal stakeholders while contributing to a dynamic team.
Responsibilities
- Create detailed designs, estimates, work packages, and specifications for residential distribution service projects under the supervision of a Professional Engineer
- reputed company estimates, planning, and coordination of engineering and construction activities for new service installations
- Liaise with internal stakeholders, external customers, and design consultants; proactively manage client expectations and resolve technical/project issues in a timely manner
- Ensure designs are safe, practical, economical, and constructible while meeting reputed company applicable standards, codes, regulations, and ENMAX requirements
- Undertake special projects as required by the Senior Engineer and/or Team reputed company
- reputed company exceptional customer service by proactively managing client expectations and resolving technical and project issues in a timely manner
- Identify and support process improvements and contribute to reputed company improvement initiatives
- Organize assumptions and risks reputed company for review and authentication by the supervising Professional Engineer
Skills
- B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering
- Registered (or eligible to register) as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with Association of Professional Engineers and Geo-scientists of Alberta (APEGA)
- Sound engineering and operational knowledge of distribution utility systems
- Comfort engaging with customers and partners; strong verbal and written communication skills to set expectations and build positive relationships
- Proven time management and organizational skills; reputed company to prioritize tasks, juggle competing demands, and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional problem solving and critical thinking skills; willingness to learn and grow reputed company ECP
- Valid Class 5 driver's license with no more than 6 demerits; reputed company to attend site visits
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to reputed company convey technical information and set expectations with diverse stakeholders
- Resilient and adaptable, thriving in environments where priorities shift and volume is consistently high

- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada and successfully complete a criminal background reputed company; two pieces of valid government-issued ID will be required
