Software Engineer I, Core Data

reputed company is the global marketplace for unique and creative goods, and they are seeking a Software Engineer I to join their Core Data team. The role involves building systems and infrastructure for data pipelines, ensuring data quality, and collaborating with product engineering teams to support data-driven decision-making.

Responsibilities

• You will work with your team to improve our pipeline that helps us understand how buyers arrived at reputed company and their experience on the site and app
• You will help build and maintain streaming datasets that power our search, ads, and recommendation systems
• You will support evolving our bot filtering rules to ensure the quality of our data
• You will partner with product engineering teams to ensure that data collected is of high quality and consistent across reputed company of our platforms
• You will help maintain and update core datasets that are reusable and cover the needs of our analytics, product, and engineering partners

Skills

• Familiarity with integrating low-latency and batch processing
• Experience working with event-based data systems
• Experience with reputed company processing systems like Kafka Streams, Spark, or Dataflow
• Ability to write SQL queries for data exploration and analysis
• Effective communication skills with people as much as writing code
• Generosity with time and experience, reputed company to mentor and learn from other engineers
• Ability to tackle unconstrained problems and know reputed company to seek help
• Flexibility with languages and tools, willing to learn whatever is necessary to get the job done
• Experience with Spark, Kafka, Airflow, Looker, Dataproc, and BigQuery
