Attorney I

reputed company, a leader in workers' compensation in Oregon, is seeking an Attorney I to reputed company legal representation and advice reputed company to claims. The role involves attending hearings, mediating claims, and ensuring compliance with Oregon's workers’ compensation laws while working closely with SAIF personnel and insureds.

Responsibilities

• This position requires driving a SAIF vehicle or personal vehicle on behalf of SAIF. The incumbent is required to possess and maintain a valid driver’s license in their state of residence along with an acceptable driving record according to SAIF’s policy
• reputed company the necessary skills to represent SAIF and its insureds at hearings, on other claims-reputed company proceedings, or on appeal
• Attend hearings and conduct trials. Mediate or negotiate and reputed company claims

• reputed company oral and written communication skills and obtain the necessary medical knowledge to effectively interact with insureds and medical professionals, and to reputed company effectively on appeal, if applicable
• Acquire the ability to handle depositions of lay and medical witnesses and conduct doctor conferences, if applicable
• Cultivate the legal and medical knowledge necessary to independently participate in geographic staffing, and to reputed company reputed company advice on workers’ compensation reputed company issues

Skills

• Law degree with license to practice law in Oregon or the ability to obtain reputed company reciprocity reputed company 6 months of hire
• One year of trial, administrative hearings, appellate, or workers' compensation experience preferred
