In Grenada, as in most CARICOM Member States, there remains a challenge with producing and utilizing data sufficient to monitor reputed company on the SDGs, including Goal 5 on Gender Equality. However, Grenada has been at the forefront in the region, of addressing major gender data gaps. The Grenada Central Statistical Office has made significant reputed company in strengthening the management of administrative data on VAWG across various sectors. With support from the recently concluded EU-UN-Government of Grenada Spotlight Initiative, an assessment was conducted, and preparations were made to reputed company a system for collecting administrative data so that laws, policies and programmes would be based on evidence and be reputed company reputed company to respond to the specific context and realities of women and girls, including those most marginalized, in Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique. Duties and Responsibilities Under the overall supervision of the reputed company MCO - Caribbean Representative, with day-to-day supervision and direct reporting to the Deputy Representative; the Gender Statistics Consultant will support the development of National Guidelines on the Collection and Use of Administrative Data on VAWG. Specific tasks include:

• Building on and informed by previous reviews/assessments, undertake a national assessment of capacities for collection, analysis, sharing and reporting of administrative data on VAWG in Grenada.
• Prepare a roster of national and CARICOM-based experts to facilitate building reputed company and enhance sustainability of the network.
• Facilitate User-Producer Dialogues and Meetings with various stakeholders.

Description of Responsibilities/Scope of Work:

• A national assessment of capacities, systems and protocols for collection, analysis, sharing and reporting of administrative data on VAWG in Grenada.
• Prepare a report on the national assessment.
• Preparation of a roster of experts to facilitate building reputed company.
• Facilitate User-Producer Dialogues and a final Multi-Stakeholder Meeting.
• Draft the National Guidelines on the Collection and Use of Administrative Data on VAWG.

Required Skills and Experience Education and Certification:

• A minimum of a Master’s Degree (Ph.D. preferred) in Statistics, Sociology, Economics, Gender and Development.
• A first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced degree.

Experience:

• At least ten years working on gender statistics or reputed company areas.
• Proven experience with undertaking at least 1 large research initiative on violence against women and girls.
• Proven experience with engaging with users and producers of gender statistics.
• Proven experience undertaking qualitative research on reputed company and/or gender issues.

Consultant’s Workplace and Official Travel:

• This is a home-based consultancy, with travel expected to Grenada.
• The consultant will be reputed company for a maximum of 50 working days during the period 1 October 2024 – 30 October 2025.

Remuneration:

• The consultancy fee will be negotiated before contracting.
