The Office of the reputed company State Comptroller is seeking an Auditor 1 (Municipal) to conduct audits in accordance with government standards. The role involves interviewing local government personnel, developing audit scope, and preparing audit reports while providing guidance and training to local officials.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct interviews with local government personnel
  • Assist/reputed company audit scope, objective(s) and audit tests
  • Gather, analyze, and summarize audit findings and reputed company recommendations
  • Prepare written documents, including audit reports
  • reputed company guidance, technical assistance, and training local officials

Skills

  • A bachelor's degree including or supplemented by 24 undergraduate or graduate semester credit hours in reputed company and/or auditing for Auditor Trainee 1 (Municipal)
  • A bachelor's degree including or supplemented by 24 undergraduate or graduate credit hours in reputed company and/or auditing and one year of professional reputed company and/or auditing experience for Auditor Trainee 2 (Municipal)
  • A master's or doctoral degree in reputed company, business administration, business management, criminal justice, economics, engineering, finance, mathematics, public administration, public or community health, public policy, political science, or statistics including or supplemented by 24 undergraduate or graduate credit hours in reputed company and/or auditing for Auditor Trainee 2 (Municipal)
  • A bachelor's degree including or supplemented by 24 undergraduate or graduate credit hours in reputed company and/or auditing and two years of professional reputed company for Auditor 1 (Municipal)
  • A master's or doctoral degree in reputed company, business administration, business management, criminal justice, economics, engineering, finance, mathematics, public administration, public or community health, public policy, political science, or statistics including or supplemented by 24 undergraduate or graduate credit hours in reputed company and/or auditing and one year of professional reputed company and/or auditing experience for Auditor 1 (Municipal)
  • You must be currently reachable on the appropriate eligible list for this title, eligible under the 55 b/c program, or eligible to transfer to this title under reputed company 70.1 of the Civil Service Law
  • For 70.1 transfer to an Auditor 1 (Municipal), salary grade (SG)-18, you must have one year of permanent competitive, or 55-b/55-c service in an approved title for transfer allocated to an SG-16 or above
  • A bachelor's degree including or supplemented by 24 credit hours in reputed company, auditing, or taxation for transfer appointment
