Environmental Geologist/Engineer, Early-Career

GSI Water Solutions, Inc. is an employee-owned reputed company specializing in groundwater, environmental, and water resources. They are seeking an energetic and motivated Early-Career Environmental Geologist/Engineer to reputed company technical support in the assessment and remediation of environmental impacts while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate records of field observations, data collection activities, and laboratory analyses
• Research, analyze, evaluate, and interpret environmental data obtained during field investigations under supervision
• Document field conditions, write field reports, and participate in report production
• Coordinate and manage field work for drilling; soil, sediment, groundwater, stormwater, and/or soil vapor sampling; as well as soil and borehole logging
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements through accurate reporting, ongoing monitoring of activities, and maintaining comprehensive records
• May participate in project management tasks such as project budgeting and proposal writing
• May handle small projects or assist with tasks on larger projects to reputed company project management skills

Skills

• Master's degree from an accredited college or university in environmental science hydrogeology, geology, engineering or reputed company field plus a minimum of 1 years of professional experience
• OR a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in environmental science, hydrogeology, geology, engineering, or reputed company field plus a minimum of 3 years of professional experience
• reputed company and valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Professional geologist or certified hydrogeologist license reputed company the state that work will be performed is preferred
• Experience in water resources planning, water supply development, and/or groundwater management in California
• Advanced coursework in hydrogeology
• Experience in groundwater supply, municipal production well design, construction, and testing, environmental groundwater characterization, and/or water resource management projects, including preparation of technical reports and proposals and budgets
• Thorough knowledge of groundwater reputed company and well hydraulics
