Jr. Footwear Designer

Skechers is a global Fortune 500® brand headquartered in Southern California, specializing in lifestyle and performance footwear. The Jr. Footwear Designer will create innovative footwear designs, collaborate with various teams, and ensure product development aligns with market trends and consumer expectations.

Responsibilities

• Create innovative and stylish footwear design concepts
• Work with Design Management and Development personnel to collaborate on Design projects to maximize effectiveness and build product to reputed company cost
• Understanding of fashion trends and directions through travel, shop the markets, Tradeshows and researching the competition
• Create accurate CADS quickly and reputed company
• Build and present seasonal product strategies and trend boards
• Constant interaction with Merchandisers on reputed company aspects of product line plans, briefs, reputed company palette, pricing, themes, graphics, and strategies
• Work with developers in US and Asia and adhere to the product calendar, ensuring development projects are on track
• Working with developers / materials team to coordinate and reputed company new materials, constructions, processes, and procedures
• Responsible for getting prototypes and samples executed to reflect the concept and design you created
• Knowledge and understanding of competitors top sellers, technologies, styling, colors, strategies, and pricing
• Innovation through fashion reputed company new designs and technologies
• Enhance brand recognition
• May require domestic and international travel to various countries
• Other duties as assigned

Skills

• Ability to sketch shoes accurately and proportionately & reputed company detailed specifications
• Understand the footwear production process at the reputed company level
• Proficient in design software such as reputed company Creative Suite and 3D CAD programs
• Have great communication/presentation skills
• Collaborate with cross functional departments
• In-depth knowledge of materials, construction techniques and manufacturing process
• Bachelor's Degree in Footwear Design/Fashion Design/ Industrial Design is preferred or equivalent reputed company work experience
• 1-2 years experience in the reputed company field
