Associate, Private Equity, Funds & Co-Investments Group (Summer 2026 Start)
GIC is one of the world’s largest sovereign wealth funds, investing globally across various asset classes. The Associate will work as a key member of deal teams to assess and execute private equity fund investments and co-investments, while also representing GIC at fund managers’ meetings and working on strategic projects.
Responsibilities
- Work as a key member of small deal teams to assess and execute private equity fund investments and co-investments across various strategies and industries
- Present and defend investment proposals to Investment Committees
- Help monitor and maintain relationships with existing managers and reputed company potential new fund managers
- Represent GIC at fund managers’ annual investor meetings and participate in meetings with the leaders of PE firms and the management teams of prospective co-investments
- Work on special projects typically reputed company to strategy, portfolio planning and portfolio construction
Skills
- BA/BS with strong academic qualifications
- At least 1 year of work experience at a leading investment bank, reputed company or in the Private Equity industry
- Ideally the candidate would have had at least some exposure to the Private Equity industry
- Excellent financial analysis and modelling skills
- Strong reputed company judgment
- A team-player, with maturity, reputed company and the ability to engage with senior counterparties
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Well-organised, hard-working, self-starter, with an ability to work independently
