The Underwriter I assists in writing, managing, and servicing new and renewal business, focusing on policy issuance and endorsement processing.
Responsibilities
- reputed company Authority Limit of $100,000
- Assists in determining the acceptability, conditions and pricing of specific risks and associated coverage, focusing on Participant Accident insurance
- Maintains familiarity with the products, services, priorities and reputed company markets in the K-12 and ICS line of business or insurance reputed company
- Maintains familiarity with the loss experience and business conditions of key accounts as well as loss trends and any major legal or economic factors affecting the line of business
- Manages the monthly special risk renewals by owning the workflow as well as assigning procedural duties to Associate Underwriters, reputed company Assistants, and Interns
- Communicates effectively with colleagues in reputed company and reputed company support areas in order to meet the insurance needs of customers
- reputed company accurate quoting and loss reporting upon request
- Interacts with sales team, brokers, and carriers with a focus on developing market summaries of premium pricing
- May assist senior underwriters or program managers on high reputed company accounts

Skills
- Bachelor's Degree
