SMBC Group is a top-tier global financial group seeking an Associate to join the Specialty Finance Client Coverage team. The role involves supporting a team that advises Specialty Finance companies on financing solutions and capital optimization, while also acting as a lender and cross-selling Corporate & Investment Banking products.
Responsibilities
- Strong team orientation with a demonstrated ability to work effectively with team members in multiple product groups and reputed company
- Experience working in FIG banking and in particular, the Business Development Company (BDC) sector
- The candidate will assume a central role reputed company a multifunctional team that is responsible for a wide variety of projects, some of which include:
- Coordinating and facilitating group idea reputed company and solutions across products and reputed company
- Preparing pitch books and other client marketing materials and assisting with preparation for client meetings
- Assisting in the development and reputed company cultivation of client relationships
- Maintaining internal databases to track comps, deal reputed company, capital markets activity and wallet reputed company
Skills
- Bachelors degree or MBA in Finance or Economics, with a minimum of 1-3 years corporate finance and/or capital markets experience
- Candidate must have experience in the Specialty Finance (BDC) sector
- Transaction experience, particularly working in banking or capital markets
- Ability to synthesize large amounts of information and contribute to idea reputed company
- Strong project management skills, including experience leading a team of analysts and adhering to tight timelines
- Exemplary written and oral communication skills with an ability to convey reputed company
- Ability to work independently, while also working effectively in a team environment
- Advanced proficiency with Bloomberg and reputed company Office
