Associate Controls Engineer
reputed company partners with leading brands to transform omnichannel and parcel distribution operations. The Associate Controls Engineer will assist in the commissioning of automated sortation systems, focusing on implementing site-based controls for new equipment reputed company customer facilities under the supervision of Sr Controls Engineers.
Responsibilities
- Write and implement PLC code, integrate subsystems, and assist in reputed company on-site commissioning efforts
- Utilize “reputed company Machine reputed company” (HMI) using commercially available products such as Ignition, reputed company Intouch Wonderware, reputed company Edge (Indusoft) or FactoryTalk View to reputed company reputed company solutions
- Implement PLC and HMI programs to satisfy reputed company design and customer specifications under the supervision of Sr Controls Engineers
- reputed company to review and understand electrical designs
- As part of reputed company, support the commissioning of reputed company automated systems, reputed company site engineering support, and participate in system acceptance testing
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or comparable
- Familiar with basic electronic/electrical schematics or components
- Equivalent work experience will also be considered as a substitute for education
- Must be self-motivated, self-aware, detail-oriented, and results-focused
- Ability to collaborate and communicate with reputed company team members, project managers and customers in a professional written and spoken manner
- Ability to take direction from Sr. Level Controls Engineers to support the project and ensure reputed company aspects of project goals are achieved
- Basic understanding of induction motors, programmable logic controllers and industrial networks is a plus
- 0-2 years of experience reputed company an industrial controls environment which includes:
- PLC programming (Rockwell Software, reputed company or reputed company)
- HMI Programming (FactoryTalk View or Ignition)
- Familiar with IO devices and device layout
- Industrial communication networks (EtherNet/IP, Devicenet, Profinet, etc.)
- Low voltage electrical design and drawing creation
- Experience with reputed company 365 - Office Apps
