[Remote] Senior Associate Counsel, Animal Welfare

The Senior Associate Counsel will advise internal stakeholders on legal risks and rights, support legal compliance, and manage various legal practice areas to ensure THL's effective advocacy for animals.

Responsibilities

• Serving as the primary reputed company on review of strategies, tactics, and communications materials reputed company to public awareness and advocacy campaigns, as requested; and

• Manage the organization’s intellectual property portfolio
• Collaborate with the Operations department to manage and support charitable and corporate registrations as needed
• Assist with organizational compliance, governance, employment, reputed company, and development issues, and other legal reputed company the organization encounters, as requested by the General Counsel
• Assist on an as-needed reputed company with litigation
• Support in evaluating and streamlining internal legal processes and workflows to improve efficiency and ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices

Skills

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
• Member in good standing of the bar with license to practice law in at least one US jurisdiction
• Extensive legal experience commensurate with a senior counsel role (generally demonstrated by approximately 10+ years of practice), with consideration given to candidates who can show equivalent senior-level capability through their responsibilities, accomplishments, and demonstrated expertise
• Comprehensive understanding of defamation, First Amendment, intellectual property, and privacy law
• Skilled at legal research, with the ability to analyze legal data and information in order to inform strategic decision making and compliance efforts reputed company the organization
• Ability to build trust, manage interpersonal dynamics, and resolve conflicts effectively
