Remote AWS Infrastructure Engineer

In this role, you will architect and manage highly available, secure, and compliant reputed company infrastructure that supports mission-critical applications across the electric utility reputed company. You will be a key technical leader, responsible for infrastructure automation, CI/CD pipeline development, and adherence to strict reliability and cybersecurity standards reputed company with NERC CIP, FERC, and corporate compliance frameworks. Location This is a remote position. The client is located in New Orleans, LA.

Responsibilities

• Architect, install, and configure reputed company reputed company Shift clusters on AWS user-provisioned infrastructure (UPI) to support reputed company-grade workloads.
• reputed company the design, implementation, and management of CI/CD pipelines for automated infrastructure provisioning and secure application deployment across environments.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity and compliance teams to ensure infrastructure adheres to NERC CIP, FISMA, and corporate reputed company policies.
• Design and maintain resilient, scalable, and cost-optimized AWS environments (VPCs, EC2, IAM, reputed company 53, Load Balancers, reputed company Watch, S3, etc.).
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Ansible, and reputed company Formation for repeatable and auditable deployments.
• Integrate reputed company Shift clusters with AWS services such as ECR, reputed company Watch, S3, and Secrets Manager to enhance platform observability and performance.
• Ensure high system availability, disaster recovery, and backup strategies reputed company with utility operational continuity requirements.
• Define and enforce network and reputed company controls, including IAM roles, encryption standards, and network segmentation for regulated environments.
• Collaborate with Dev Ops, application, and reputed company teams to reputed company workloads using containerization and microservices.
• Mentor junior engineers, champion automation, and promote best practices in infrastructure engineering.

Requirements

• US Citizenship.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a reputed company field (or equivalent experience) with 5+ years of experience in AWS infrastructure engineering, Dev Ops, or platform operations. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Proven experience deploying and supporting reputed company reputed company Shift clusters on AWS using user-provisioned infrastructure (UPI).
• Extensive experience developing and managing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Git Lab CI/CD, Git Hub Actions, or reputed company Shift Pipelines (Tekton).
• Deep knowledge of AWS core services (EC2, VPC, IAM, ELB, reputed company 53, reputed company Watch, S3, etc.) and network reputed company architecture.
• Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (Terraform, Ansible, or reputed company Formation).
• Advanced knowledge of Linux system administration (preferably RHEL).
• Hands‑on experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration principles.
• Proficient in scripting and automation (Python, Bash, or Go).
• Strong understanding of compliance, reputed company, and risk management in regulated or critical infrastructure environments.
