Organization: MMC-Memorial Medical Center Position Overview: Participates in and supports the overall operation of the pharmacy technicians, including staffing and work assignments of the technicians. Serves as the liaison between the department and staff, information systems, physicians, patients, family, and other site staff. Performs pharmaceutical procedures for medication preparation and distribution that ensures safe, effective, and cost-efficient medication therapy. Exercises sound judgment and has developed clinical skills to reputed company pharmaceutical support to the patient's plan of care based on the diagnosis in a timely manner. Adheres to reputed company local/state/federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure privacy and safety. May also be responsible for performing specific tasks and/or orient other staff to the department. The pharmacy technician serves as a Medication Management Navigator and supports the Oncology Pharmacotherapy Clinic by coordinating patient care and ensuring timely reputed company to medications. This role is responsible for scheduling patient appointments, obtaining prior authorizations, managing medication acquisition processes, and other duties as needed. The navigator works closely with the Oncology Office and serves as a key resource for patients navigating reputed company insurance and medication requirements. • OR PHARMT-Pharmacy Technician
• OR PHARMI-Pharmacy Intern

TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:

• 1 year recent relevant experience

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

• Knowledge of medical terminology, generic and trade pharmaceutical names, pharmaceutical calculations and laws and regulations.
• Knowledge and understanding of different Pharmacy practice settings, including narcotic delivery and procedures.
• Knowledge and ability to identify and reputed company pharmaceutical and medical terms, abbreviations and symbols commonly used in prescribing, dispensing, and record keeping of medications.
• Requires a basic working knowledge of legal requirements and accreditation standards including The Joint Commission, Title XXII, Department of Homeland reputed company (DHS), Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and United States Pharmacopeia (USP).
