Job Responsibilities
As a Data Entry Clerk at blithequark, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our data management processes. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Gathering and processing various types of information, such as invoices, statements, reports, personal details, and documents from employees, other departments, and clients.
- Scanning through information to identify pertinent details and correcting errors to optimize swift and accurate capturing.
- Creating accurate spreadsheets and entering/updating information into relevant databases.
- Ensuring data is backed up and stored in an organized manner to facilitate easy retrieval.
- Informing relevant parties regarding errors encountered and handling additional duties as needed.
- Typing data provided directly from customers, creating spreadsheets with large numbers of figures without mistakes, verifying data by comparing it to sourced documents, and updating existing data.
- Retrieving data from the database or electronic files as requested, performing regular backups to ensure data preservation, and sorting and organizing paperwork after entering data to prevent loss.
Key Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A high school degree or equivalent
- Proven experience as a data entry clerk (previous experience in data entry or administrative assistance is a bonus)
- Fast typing skills, with knowledge of touch typing systems strongly preferred
- Basic understanding of databases
