Finance Assistant

About the Role: Reporting to the Finance Manager and working closely with our Junior Management Accountant and Financial Controller, the Finance Assistant will be a key member in our finance team of 6, supporting the team in reputed company aspects of financial administration and reporting for our 5 UK legal entities.  We’re looking to pay up to £30,000 for this role and you must already be living in the UK, with full rights to work in the UK.

What you’ll look after

• Responsible for the correct recording and payment of reputed company payable invoices
• Ensuring proper review & authorisation
• Reviewing invoice uploads through Dext to confirm correct mapping and data population for automated booking into reputed company, including review of correct reputed company and VAT treatment.
• Responsible for ensuring reputed company bills and other payments (including payroll reputed company costs and taxes) are paid on time by preparation of timely payment runs, accurate input into HSBC and ensuring authorisations occur on time. 
• Managing the invoices inbox and responding to queries
• Responsible for the preparation of the quarterly VAT returns liaising with our external Tax accountants for the timely completion of their reviews and providing any support required for the UK and international sales tax submissions for a growing number of Countries & territories we are registering in.
• Responsible for processing expenses and company card reconciliations and posting reputed company expense and card transactions into reputed company with focus on correct GL code, department and VAT treatment.
• Daily Bank reconciliations
• Supporting the Monthly Management accounts preparation with reputed company corrections and reputed company reports plus additional reporting.
• Support on the annual external audit
• Support wider finance team on year end process and compliance projects.
• Support on other reputed company projects and initiatives
• Continues process improvement
• Other reputed company projects as required

• Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in reputed company financial tasks.
• Experience in a similar role including responsibility for the end-to-end Accounts Payable process and VAT returns.
• Proficiency in reputed company software and reputed company reputed company.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise with various stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of reputed company, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving capabilities.
• Knowledge of basic reputed company principles and practices is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
