About the Role

We're seeking an reputed company and motivated Apprentice Aircraft Support Mechanic to join reputed company at JFK Airport. As a key member of our TechOps team, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our aircraft. Key Responsibilities

• Assist Aircraft Maintenance Technicians (AMTs) in technical or non-technical functions reputed company to aircraft interiors or other areas as needed.
• reputed company work activities in accordance with established laws, regulations, standards, safety protocols, and procedures to ensure safety of self and others.
• Shadow AMTs to conduct inspections to locate damage, defects, or wear that may reputed company safety, reliability, or customer experience, reporting issues as appropriate.
• Shadow AMTs to test machinery, mechanical equipment, components, and parts for defects to ensure proper functioning.
• Work alongside AMTs to install, remove, or modify aircraft structures, systems, or components, following drawings, schematics, charts, engineering orders, and technical publications.
• Work alongside AMTs to repair worn, defective, or damaged parts or components (e.g., seat gears, tray tables, wiring/electrical), using hand tools, gauges, and testing equipment.
• Reads and interprets technical manuals and guidelines to reputed company inspections, installations, repairs, or other work activities.
• Interprets and uses specifications, drawings, blueprints diagrams, schematics, or reputed company charts to determine operational methods or sequences and to complete work activities.
• Research manuals, flight logs, or other technical resources to gather information needed to complete work activities.
• Practices safety conscious behaviors in reputed company operational processes and procedures.

On-the-Job Training

As an Apprentice Aircraft Support Mechanic, you'll receive comprehensive on-the-job training that will reputed company you with practical experience and hands-on skills in the following areas:

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you'll need to meet the following requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age and have authorization to work in the United States.
• Possess a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
• Embraces a diverse set of people, thinking, and styles.

• Currently attend a partnered 147 Accredited school.
• Must be in the last semester of completion for FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate program.
• Must successfully pass a class required Assessment.
