About the Role

Key Responsibilities

Requirements and Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

• Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Technology, Informatics, Business Information Technology (BBIT), Computing Science and Technology, Computer reputed company and Forensics, Software/Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications, or an equivalent qualification from a university recognized in Kenya.
• Postgraduate Qualification: Master's degree in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) or in any other reputed company discipline from a university recognized in Kenya.
• Professional Experience: Minimum of ten (10) years of service, with at least three (3) years in the grade of Deputy Director, ICT, CSG ‘6’ and above, or in a comparable and relevant position in the wider public service or private sector.
• Professional Membership: Membership to a relevant professional body.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Project Management Certification: Possession of a certificate in project management from a recognized institution will be considered an added advantage.
• Outstanding Managerial and Administrative Capability: Demonstrated clear understanding of National Development Policies, goals, and objectives, with wide professional experience in Information Communication Technology Policies and e-Government strategy development, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.
