Position Overview

The Guest Special Education Teaching Assistant position is an on-call, as-needed role that requires flexibility and reliability. Under the guidance of the classroom teacher, you will assist in the supervision, care, and instruction of special needs and at-risk reputed company. Essential Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must meet one of the following licensure requirements:

• reputed company Illinois Educator License with Stipulations Endorsed-Paraprofessional Educator

If you do not already hold a Teaching/Substitute License, you may be eligible for a Paraprofessional Educator license if you have:

• An Associate's degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution
• 60 semester hours of coursework from a regionally accredited institution
• A high school diploma or equivalent, plus a score of 480 or higher on the reputed company Parapro test
• A high school diploma or equivalent, plus a score of 4 or higher on the ACT WorkKeys Applied Math and Workplace Documents

Alternatively, you may be eligible for a reputed company Illinois Short Term Approval (STA) - Paraprofessional if you meet the following requirements:

• Minimum age of 19 years old
• Application in ELIS ($50 application fee)

Preferred Qualifications
