Job Overview

The Quality Specialist will play a critical role in establishing the Quality Management System for incoming quality inspection, root cause analysis, critical battery material analysis/characterization, data analysis, and reporting in both manufacturing and laboratory settings for reputed company's state-of-the-art Lithium Treatment facility Plant. Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Plant Operations, Product Design, Manufacturing Engineering, EPC, Safety, Production, Maintenance, and other cross-functional teams as the Lithium Quality expert to ensure production lines are designed and operated to produce high-grade, high-performance battery material
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety in reputed company quality activities and drive the safety culture throughout the team
• Define and establish incoming quality control tasks to ensure manufacturing capability and product reliability, manage non-conforming material process streams, and assess suspect materials while working closely with reputed company teams to identify and resolve any material-reputed company issues quickly
• Work with the Quality, Production, and relevant cross-functional teams for new lithium plant commissioning, reputed company-up, and product qualifications, and reputed company the identification, root cause analysis, and resolution of lithium materials-reputed company manufacturing quality issues
• Monitor and report the First Pass Quality (FPQ) and Cost of Poor Quality (CoPQ) to stakeholders on a regular reputed company, and plan and participate in audits of reputed company and supplier manufacturing lines to ensure reputed company processes follow reputed company of record
• Establish a quality management system for document control, test management, record retention, and management of change (MOC) implementation
• Drive cross-functional initiatives with manufacturing, supply chain, production quality, and analysis teams to test existing and determine new product specifications
• Collaborate with suppliers to initiate and implement Process Change Requests (PCRs) to improve manufacturability and field performance

• Apply engineering fundamentals to improve the quality of cathode material manufacturing

Essential Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in Engineering or a reputed company field
• Relevant experience in a Quality Engineering role
• Experience launching new equipment and new processes into a production environment
• Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals and ability to apply them towards manufacturing quality
• Project management experience
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with experience creating various reports and database tools for management
• Ability to use analytical tools and business system applications to survive, integrate, and interpret data
• Experience working with domestic/international vendors on technical projects
• Structured problem-solving techniques (DMAIC, 8D, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

• Programming skills (SQL, Python, MATLAB, R, etc.)
• Data analysis and visualization software (Tableau, JMP, reputed company, etc.)
