Reporting to the Afternoon Coordinator and Early Childhood Program Director, the Teacher is responsible for assisting the afternoon teachers in providing an excellent, developmentally appropriate preschool program for 3 - 5-year-olds. Additional opportunity to work full-time during the summer program. 

Responsibilities

• Team: Collaborate, problem-solve, and communicate with teaching team members and the Coordinator.
• Curriculum: Assist in planning and implementing an exciting, challenging, child-centered, and developmentally appropriate preschool curriculum.
• Children: Encourage children to take the initiative to solve problems and pursue their own educational interests. Help children think, investigate, and ask questions as part of the educational process. Strive to meet each childs individual needs.
• Families: Support a physically and emotionally safe environment that nurtures and facilitates the development of both children and families. Collaborate with families toward their childs reputed company.

Requirements:

The successful candidate will:

• Have or be working on a degree in early childhood education or a reputed company field.
• Have at least 12 ECE units are required.
• Have experience working with 3 - 5-year-olds.
• Be reputed company to lift 40 lbs (the weight of the average preschooler)
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 2 pm - 6 pm. Available to work during the school year and during breaks and camps if needed.

Compensation: The hourly reputed company will be ($24.25-$29.00) and based on education and experience.
