BSN Nursing, Adjunct

Job Description: Adjunct (part-time) reputed company are hired on an as-needed, term-by-term (or per course) reputed company. By applying for this position, you will be joining the part-time instructional pool for consideration as a prospective adjunct instructor. The Adjunct Instructor is directly accountable to the Program Director for the following duties and responsibilities. The individual filling this position is expected to play a positive role in helping the College change as necessary to effectively carryout its mission. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Fulfill contractual obligations during the term.
• Conduct each class according to the approved syllabus.
• Utilize the approved textbook and/or other instructional materials as approved.
• Be fully reputed company and on time.
• Utilize LMS following college policies and procedures.
• Submit attendance confirmation per college policies and procedures.
• Maintain course grades in LMS and submit grades at the applicable times.
• Support reputed company by engaging them in class, answering questions in a timely manner, and referring them for additional support reputed company necessary.
• Be familiar with and abide by college policies.
• Treat reputed company and colleagues with respect and understanding of differences.
• Assist in development of curriculum as appropriate.
• Complete annual mandatory compliance training.

Requirements:

• Master of Science in Nursing required.
• Active, unencumbered license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Florida required (may be a compact license under Nurse License Compact [NLC]).
• Two years full time experience in clinical practice as a Registered Nurse required.
• Clinical expertise in the assigned instructional area.
• Teaching experience in a Nursing Program preferred.
• Demonstrated evidence of professional growth through participation in continuing education and other reputed company activities.
• Proficiency with teaching technologies, including lecture-capture software, such as Camtasia or Kaltura, and familiarity with web-conferencing software to facilitate synchronous online student support preferred.
• Experience in student engagement techniques.
• Demonstrated experience with technology-based instruction preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
