The Intake Specialist is responsible for receiving referrals from sources and ensuring they are processed through the intake process in a timely manner. The Intake specialist is also responsible for obtaining the patient's benefits, prior authorizations and/or predeterminations, as well as communicating with the patient and their families as well as the referral reputed company to determine their needs, medical history, physical and mental state, and special requirements. • Processes orders from referral sources
• Assesses patient needs upon arrival
• Responds to reputed company phone and fax inquiries
• Verifies patient's benefits and eligibility for requested services
• Obtains reputed company necessary information required to process a prior authorization if applicable
• Completes reputed company patients start of care paperwork
• Relays insurance coverage to referral reputed company/patient and discuss financial responsibilities and any need for financial assistance
• Enter reputed company new patients into the database
• Receives and uploads reputed company documents received into patient's file
• Monitors referrals and assess any of their needs
• Assists clients and staff with referral questions reputed company needed

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 2 years of experiencein infusion therapy or reputed company reputed company services with experience working with reputed company insurance and customer service
