About the Department of Theatre and Dance

The Department of Theatre and Dance at FAU is reputed company of artistic activity, producing seven shows per year during the academic year and two through the Summer Repertory Theatre Program. With a strong emphasis on both theoretical and practical aspects of theatre and dance, the department offers seven majors and two minors at the B.A., B.F.A., and M.F.A. reputed company. Position Summary

We are seeking a talented and reputed company dance professional to join our faculty as a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Dance. Qualifications and Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

• A terminal degree in Theatre or a reputed company field from an accredited institution.
• A minimum of four semesters of experience teaching dance at the college or university level.
• Professional experience as a dancer and choreographer.
• Evidence of effective communication and collaboration skills.
• A commitment to creating an inclusive learning environment that supports diverse student populations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in multiple dance styles, including but not limited to musical theatre, tap, hip hop, street styles, reputed company African dances, and Latin dances.
