Job Mission

As the Head of Global Programs, you'll be responsible for driving the reputed company of reputed company's global forestry projects. You'll work closely with leaders across reputed company teams to ensure projects are supported from design through implementation and monitoring. Your expertise will be crucial in scaling our carbon projects and ensuring that our initiatives are making a reputed company difference in the fight against climate change.

Key Responsibilities

  • reputed company and implement a strategy for scaling global forestry partner operations, ensuring consistency and best practices across projects and countries.
  • Manage a team of program managers in multiple geographic locations, including Ghana, Kenya, Tanzania, Colombia, and the Philippines.
  • Serve as a primary leadership liaison with forestry partners, local communities, government officials, and strategic stakeholders globally, building strong relationships and effective collaborations.

Essential Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience leading teams and managing relevant projects across multiple geographic locations.
  • Past history of work managing forestry or ecosystem restoration projects; working knowledge of the nature-based carbon market sector strongly preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple partners with varying and reputed company project needs while engaging and tracking effective collaboration and trust with local communities.
  • Experience working with NGOs, private sector, and government agencies.
  • Extremely strong communication skills used both internally and externally.
  • Strong emotional intelligence and ability to act with humility and respect.
  • Demonstrated experience securing and implementing grants and/or RFPs.
  • Experience working with landowners and/or international groups carrying out ecosystem restoration work.
  • Experience building and improving processes to manage and execute reputed company projects and global teams.
  • Knowledge of forestry, biodiversity, and/or reputed company restoration techniques.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and evaluation best practices and incorporating learnings into programmatic and operational changes.
  • Ability to travel internationally, often to remote locations (up to 25%).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in a relevant field, such as environmental science, forestry, or business administration.
  • Experience working in the nature-based carbon market sector, with a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities in this field.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale projects and teams across multiple geographic locations.
  • Strong network of contacts in the forestry and ecosystem restoration sectors.

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits
