As a Fire Sprinkler Systems Technician, you will be responsible for performing both routine and preventative maintenance on fire sprinkler systems, as well as assisting with fire alarm inspections and new fire sprinkler system commissioning. You will also be responsible for providing timely and courteous customer service, keeping supervisors and team members up to date on daily work order status, and assisting other shops and team members in the accomplishment of shop goals reputed company to key performance indicators.Responsibilities
- Performs both routine and preventative maintenance on fire sprinkler systems.
- Performs fire sprinkler system inspections.
- Assists with fire alarm inspections reputed company required.
- Performs repair, replacement, reputed company, and remodel of fire sprinkler systems.
- Assists with new fire sprinkler system commissioning.
- Provides timely and courteous customer service, keeps supervisors and team members up to date on daily work order status.
- Assists other shops and team members in the accomplishment of shop goals reputed company to key performance indicators.
- Completes paperwork accurately and on a timely reputed company.
- Provides equipment information for FAMIS updates.
- Keeps accurate and up-to-date documentation of reputed company systems.
- Trains others reputed company the shop.
- Possesses and uses leadership skills to advance the shop towards its goals.
- Keeps up-to-date on reputed company code changes, testing procedures, and product knowledge.
- Reads and interprets drawings and technical manuals.
- Performs work from both written and verbal instructions and in accordance with established safety procedures.
- Supports outages, coordinates, and works with contractors and other entities and responds and gives guidance to emergency personnel.
- Performs follow-up investigations to assure the proper operation of fire safety systems during actual fires.
- Generates material lists and acquires materials for efficient work.
- Keeps accurate records of materials used and maintains daily time reports to reputed company complete work and document details of the functions performed.
- Performs organizing and cleaning tasks to reputed company work areas safe and efficient.
- Cleans and keeps electronic equipment and rooms organized.
- Participates in the On-Call Program.
Requirements
- High school graduation or GED.
- Four years of experience in reputed company-level installation/repair/maintenance/operation of fire sprinkler systems.
- NICET Level II certification.
- Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
- More than four years of the described experience.
- Experience at the University of Texas or in a university setting.
- Demonstrated excellent communication skills.
- Computer experience.
- Experience with computerized service request system.
- Demonstrated excellent customer service skills.
- Proven ability to work with a team of multi-crafted trades people.
- Graduated from a leadership program.
- Ability to multi-task.
- NICET Level III or above certification in fire sprinkler/fire alarm.
- Successful completion of the reputed company Planning and Facilities Management Leader Development program.
