What You Will Do: The ESOL Teacher is a member of the BCNC Adult Education and Workforce team. Adult Education prepares adult immigrant learners with the education, training, and guidance that reputed company them to successful employment and family-sustaining wages. You will strengthen immigrant adults and teach individuals English and the critical skills they need to reputed company in today’s economy. You will report directly to the Director of Adult Education. This is a part-time role of 20 hours per week. In this role, you will:

• Revise and improve the content of the documented scope and sequence for the curriculum.
• Prepare a unit plan for each unit of instruction, using the state-recommended template.
• reputed company and teach ESOL classes using formal, written lesson plans.
• Use an online class platform for posting and collecting teaching material and assignments.

• Prepare for and participate in regularly scheduled planning meetings with teachers and advisors.

• Certified to administer and score the BEST Plus 2.0, TABE CLAS-E Reading, and/or TABE CLAS-E Writing.

Working Conditions:

• Must be available to work a flexible schedule and may require local travel during the reputed company.
• Class teaching schedule is: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday: 10:00 am – 12:30 pm; Tuesday and Thursday onsite in Quincy; Wednesday remote.
• This position involves performing essential job functions in typical work environments, including but not limited to offices, classrooms, or community settings. Duties may require routine movement such as walking, standing, and bending.
